Some bloggers earn thousands of dollars a month and some earn enough for a nice meal at the end of the month. The truth is "We can make money with our Blogs".

What have I learned from monetizing my Blog?

There are 3 income streams on my Blog:

1. Advertisements
2. Affiliate programs
3. Paid review programs

However, my revenue comes from Advertisements and Affiliate programs. I have little luck with the Paid Reviews programs.

Before you sign up for any of these, get your Blog up and running.

Pick a topic about which you are passionate. Otherwise, you'll quickly run out of steam and readers.

"Internet Marketing" Blogs are overcrowded and extremely competitive. Unless you have a out-of-the-box idea to take the market by storm else I would suggest you to take your time in choosing a niche topic for your Blog.

Most advertisers will reject porn, hate and "non-family friendly" types of sites.

You can sign up for a free blog with Blogger or WordPress.

Affiliate programs

Affiliate programs are the biggest income stream for most Blogs.

When you mention a product, you link to it on a merchant's site through a unique affiliate link. If your visitors buy the product through your link, you earn commissions.

Affiliate payouts generally offer 10 to 50 percent of the sales.

Some affiliate programs allow you to customize the ads to suit your Blog.

Paid review opportunities

PayPerPost and ReviewMe are services that act as "in-between" the advertisers and you. The advertisers pay you to write a review of their website/product/service on your blog.

Generally, your blog must be several months old with a readership to qualify. Also, your site may need to be about a certain topic.

The post must stay up on your site for 30 days or so. The advertiser checks to make sure you fulfill the requirements before you're paid.

Lastly, if you like to cut away all the months of trial and error in Blogging and have a mentor that guide you the right way from the start, Go straight to Atomic Blogging.

The most important point that I have learned in my Blogging journey:

You'll do best with ads and affiliate programs that are relevant to your topic.
